Mind Tools & Inspirations: Let yourself fly
Imagine how it feels to be able to fly. In this 3-minute practice you let yourself fly.
TRY THIS…
If you have time, let me guide you so you can focus on your experience.
HERE IS THE PRACTICE
Sit comfortably and close your eyes.
Remember the sky.
Have your arms down by your sides.
As you inhale bring your arms up from the sides to a comfortable height.
As you exhale let your arms float back down.
While you are inhaling your arms are coming up from the sides.
While you are exhaling your arms are floating back down.
Continue moving and breathing like this at your own pace.
Now sit comfortably.
Imagine or have a sense of how it feels to fly.
As you inhale raise your arms up from the sides.
As you exhale let your arms float back down.
Inhaling, bringing your arms up to a comfortable height.
Exhaling, your arms floating back down.
Continue this at your own pace.
Again sit comfortably.
Imagine that you are flying.
Notice how it feels to fly.
WHY DO THIS?
Imagining you are flying may feel freeing. Perhaps you feel a little less stuck in life’s current circumstance. Perhaps there is some joy.

When I joined more ambitious activities like the bounce-house or kayaking I had dreams of flying. It’s been a while;)
