HERE IS THE PRACTICE

Imagine that your hands are holding a warm cup filled with kindness.

Close your eyes and imagine warming your hands on the cup of kindness.
It’s the perfect temperature.

Then allow to come to mind a time you were kind to someone.

Remember that experience.

Remember how it felt to be kind.

Remember what kindness feels like.
Be with that feeling.

You can do this tiny practice often—it’s as if you are taking a kindness vitamin.
You can also do as you prepare for a challenging situation or a busy day.

Imagine you are holding a cup of kindness.

WHY DO THIS?

Kindness might be something you value intellectually.

Connecting with the quality of kindness—by feeling kindness—brings that quality into your life in a tangible way.

It helps you embody kindness.

You do not need to wait for an opportunity to perform kindness. You can call up the feeling and be with the feeling. You can cultivate kindness.

When kindness feels active and alive within you that quality becomes more readily present in relation to other people, situations, and yourself.
